- Thanks to Jessica Reese for the amazing tour of Vineland Estates Winery and thanks to Dan DeGryp for indulging us with a little music, in the most perfect setting.
Vineland, on the Niagara Escarpment, is open year round. With structures dating back to the 1840’s the winery is the perfect way to spend the day and would make a beautiful back drop to your special day.
Oak chips made from trees in France and are used to add tannins to the wine, rather than using barrels. When they’re finished being used in the winery they go to the restaurant where they’re dried and used to smoke various items on the menu.
Dan DeGryp, who works in the cellar and the vineyard, was generous enough to join us. A singer/songwriter, he was working in the music industry on the west coast. He found his way into the wine business through his love of wine.
