2014 was an interesting year for me. There was a day job change and there was a step up in the side job. This year I went from just shooting musicians to interviewing them. Thank you to Runaway Angel and Leah Daniels for helping me to get my feet wet! I also want to thank Brett Kissel and Tim Hicks for their kindness and enthusiasm during our thereviewsarein.com interviews. I love the shots I got of both of those guys! Let’s take a look back at the music of 2014!
My first concert of 2014 was Keith Urban’s Light the Fuse Tour in January. Keith was backed up by Little Big Town and Brett Eldredge. I didn’t get to shoot it but Josh won tickets at Boots and Bourbon and we rocked that concert from a private box. It was an evening to remember!
Let’s get this thing started.
In February I dropped by The Cameron House for Whitney Rose‘s set, I love the light in that place! Whitney’s now on tour on the East Coast.
In April I was invited by eOne to shoot Secret Broadcast at The Rivoli. This is my favourite shot of lead singer, Matt Lightstone.
Jumping forward to August (I started a new job at the end of May, kinda took me out of commission temporarily) Boots and Hearts gave me a ton of content!
Opening Day! First off The Reklaws. What can I say about these guys. I love them. They’re super talented and so down to earth.
Brett Kissel on the Gibson Tour Bus
And our headliner for opening night, Dallas Smith.
Headliner for Day 2, Paul Brandt
Tim Hicks gave us a preview of his CD early in the day.
A little more Tim Hicks from the main stage
Day 3 headliner, Luke Bryan.
Day 4 up on the main stage, The Reklaws

Phew, that was one crazy weekend. Are you still with me.
And we’re off to The Ex and The Junction
And heading into September… Marshall Dane
The Airborne Toxic Event backed up by In The Valley Below.
And more Kira Isabella
More Dallas Smith
And December – Sam Hunt
It’s been a crazy year and I can’t wait to see what 2015 brings!
