Destination British Columbia

Today, just as the day was breaking, I arrived in British Columbia. Final destination Tofino, but there was an adventure to be had first. There was a 6 hour layover in Vancouver, which was too short to get a room and sleep but seemed too long to hang around the airport. I may have napped on an airport bench. I may be paying for that today. Connection made I landed in Nanaimo with a new challenge to face, my travel partner, who had reserved the car discovered her licence had expired. Try renting a car with an exipred driver’s licence, not an easy task. We did finally end up at a smaller car rental place, we got a car and were on our way. Challenge accepted and mastered.

We weren’t on a direct mission, clearly this trip was going to be a “going with the flow” kinda thing. We were open to stopping, going with the flow and embracing the journey. To say this province is beautiful is a sad understatement. Time after time I found myself full of wonder, marvelling at the beauty in front of me. Over and over I had the thought “Wow this is so amazing.” Sometimes, yes sometimes those words came out of my mouth. Stops today – Vancouver Airport, Nanaimo, Cathedral Trail, Sproat Lake, Clayoquot Sound and the end destination Tofino. So many amazing sights today. Enjoy!
